Browser Compatibility
eHealth Portal typically works on all modern browsers, however we officially test and support the following browsers/versions:
- Internet Explorer (IE) 11
- Safari for iPad
- Google Chrome
We continually monitor the browsers and versions used to access this site. As and when usage reaches a determined percentage, we will extend our formal support to that browser and version.
PLEASE NOTE: Our third party hosted applications (OLIS, Panorama, DPV, OHISS, etc.,) may support different browsers or browser versions. Please check with the respective application owners to determine what browsers are supported.
Display Issues in Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)
Sometimes websites don't quite look like you would expect them to. Images may not appear, menus may be out of place, and text could be jumbled. This might be caused by a compatibility problem between Internet Explorer (IE) and the site you're on. Sometimes this can be fixed by adding the site to your Compatibility View list.
In IE11, you will need to enable compatibility mode in order to access the collaboration tools on eHealth Portal.
Fixing Display Issues
Below are the steps to enable the IE compatibility mode on your IE 11 browser.
- Open your IE browser
- Navigate to http://www.ehealthontario.ca/
- Select Tools
, and then Compatibility View settings
- Go to Add this website
- Enter the address of the site you’re having problems with (in this case http://www.ehealthontario.ca/)
- Select Add
- Save the settings and Close the settings window
- Now close your IE browser and restart it again.
Note:
If you add a site to the compatibility view list and find that the page looks worse than before, the problem is likely not to do with compatibility. Remove the site from the list and contact your local IT helpdesk.
Once you turn on compatibility view, Internet Explorer will automatically show that site in compatibility view each time you visit. You can turn it off by removing it the site from your compatibility list.
